Risk Management 101 rapidly delivers content applicable to the every-day project risk management. Knowledge gained from this course can be used on projects immediately. 

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • A final 30 minute test – 25 practice test questions to assess knowledge gained. This practice test at the end of the course is graded. Passing grade is 70% or above. Participants can re-take the practice test as many times as needed within the online access period. Test results include answer rationale.
  • Contact Hours/Professional Development Units (PDUs) – This course is a registered course with the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and is eligible for 4 contact hours/professional development units (PDUs). Participants studying for the Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®) exam or Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam can claim the 4 contact hours earned to satisfy eligibility requirements for the PMP® exam.
  • Project managers seeking to maintain their PMI-RMP® or PMP® certifications can claim the 4 PDUs earned to satisfy continuing Certification Requirements.
  • Certificate of Completion – A certificate of completion is issued to participants upon completion of the course with a passing grade of 70% or above on the practice test.

Learning Objectives

Our project management training is designed to help participants prepare for the PMI-RMP® exam, PMP® exam or simply serve as a refresher for project managers out of touch with changes to the PMBOK® Guide who seek to maintain their PMP® certification.

In our risk management training system, participants will learn:

  • Risk management methodology advocated by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) in the PMBOK® Guide Chapter 11.

Students are advised to obtain a copy of the PMBOK® guide which is the study guide referenced throughout this course.

  2. Identify Risks Process
  3. Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis Process
  4. Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis Process
  5. Plan Risk Responses Process
  6. Control Risks

Part 2 – Classroom of recap part 1 (1 hour) Classroom recap version of PART1 – Classroom video with live-instructor

Part 3  – Final Quiz (0.5 Hour) Risk management test (20 Questions in 25 Minutes) Students must pass this test before 4 PDUs or contact hours are awarded for this course

  • The PMBOK® Guide Fifth Edition (Chapter 11) – this can be purchased via Amazon or the PMI® website. If you are a PMI® member, this is also available to you by free download.
  • PMI® Standard for Risk Management (also available on Amazon or the PMI® website)
  • Students are advised to read both standards before the final quiz

The course also contains additional papers and examples for further reading.
